According to Telefoot, Everton are interested in signing Thomas Meunier from PSG and he would be a big upgrade on Seamus Coleman, if he was to arrive at Goodison Park.

Marco Silva has suggested that Everton could struggle to do business in January, as they only have a limited budget to spend, but the French press believe that Meunier is on the Toffees’ wishlist.

And if the Belgian was snapped up then Everton would be making an excellent addition.

Right-back has been one of the problem positions for Marco Silva’s side this season.

Coleman has been poor, and Jonjoe Kenny may not yet be at the stage of his career when he is ready to step up and play regularly in the first-team.

Meunier, on the other hand, would be able to come straight into Silva’s starting line-up and he could be an ideal fit.

The PSG man has power, is solid defensively and can provide a good attacking outlet.

And if Everton are looking to upgrade Coleman then Meunier would definitely be a smart choice.
