Leeds United appointed Thomas Christiansen as the head coach this summer following Garry Monk’s departure to Middlesbrough.
Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen has explained to Bild, as translated by Jonmackenzie.com, how transfers are conducted at the club.
Christiansen was appointed the Leeds head coach earlier this summer following the departure of Garry Monk to Championship rivals Middlesbrough.
The 44-year-old has been quite busy so far this summer, as he has already made quite a few signings ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

Leeds have secured the services of Madger Gomes, Mateusz Klich, Felix Wiedwald, Vurnon Anita and Samuel Saiz so far in the summer transfer window.
Pontus Jansson and Hadi Sacko have been handed permanent contracts, as the West Yorkshire outfit get ready to challenge for the Championship playoffs next season.
Christiansen has explained how transfers at Championship club Leeds are conducted, and has outlined his role in them.
“No, I’m a coach,” Christiansen told Bild, as translated by Jonmackenzie.com, when asked if he is a coach or a manager and about his involvement in Leeds’s transfer policy.
“Of course I will help our Director of Football in his transfer decisions, but he has already done a lot of work and developed a list of interesting personalities. I do not want to sit in an office: I’d rather work out on the training field.”
Leeds narrowly missed out on a top-six finish in the Championship last season, and the Whites will be aiming to clinch a playoff spot during the 2017-18 campaign.
