Leeds United fans backed their team to the hilt at Ipswich Town yesterday.
Whites boss Thomas Christiansen spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s disappointing 1-0 defeat to Ipswich Town yesterday, and offered high words of praise for the travelling support at Portman Road, as quoted by the club’s official website.
Leeds now sit in seventh position in the Championship table, nine points adrift of the automatic promotion places, although there are still 19 league games to be played this season, so all is not yet lost.
Christiansen has actually performed admirably in his role as Whites boss this season, and if his side continue to show the fight and determination they displayed yesterday they will have every chance of finishing inside the top six.
The Leeds manager addressed the media in the aftermath of his side’s 1-0 defeat yesterday, and shared his gratitude for the support given to his players by the travelling army of Whites fans at Portman Road, as quoted by the club’s official website:
“I was proud of what the players did, they fought like warriors and the fans applause at the end of the game showed, they gave everything. I’d like to thank the fans who made the long journey to support the team, it was amazing, in the second half, the help from our fans gave us the possibility to try and take a positive result.”
Next up for Leeds is a home game against Millwall, followed by a trip to Hull City, and a pair of wins in those matches would be the perfect way to bounce back from their disappointing recent run of form.
