Leeds United beat Oxford on Saturday, but Chris Wood, despite chances, wasn’t among the goals.
Thomas Christiansen has told LUTV that he wanted Leeds United hitman Chris Wood to score against Oxford United on Saturday.
Goals from Kemar Roofe and Stuart Dallas sealed a 2-0 win over the League One outfit at Elland Road in what was Leeds’ last warm-up match before the Championship season.

The New Zealand striker looked a little rusty up front as he spurned a couple of decent chances, but new head coach Christiansen says that is fine providing he makes up for it against Bolton Wanderers at the Macron Stadium in seven days time.
He told LUTV: “Of course, I would have liked Chris Wood to score some goals. He had some opportunities today, but the most important thing is that he starts [scoring] from next week.”
There is big pressure on the 25-year-old to pick up where he left off last season.
Wood scored 30 goals in all competitions last term as Leeds, then under Garry Monk, finished seventh in the Championship, five points behind the playoff places.
Promotion is definitely the aim for the Whites again this season, but can another goal-laden season from Wood aid them on their quest to the Premier League?
Time will tell.
