Thomas Christiansen comments on Leeds United hitman Chris Wood.
Thomas Christiansen has told LUTV that Leeds United striker Chris Wood can surpass his 30-goal total of last season.
The 25-year-old hitman finished as the Championship’s highest goalscorer after netting 27 times in the league, having also hit three in the cup competitions.
And Wood is already off the mark this season after scoring in Leeds’ 3-2 win at Bolton Wanderers last Sunday as Christiansen’s side began the campaign with a win.

By virtue of his total last term, it seems like the New Zealand international would have to be in red-hot form for much of the season if he is to out-do himself this time around.
But Christiansen, speaking to LUTV, believes that he can.
Asked if Wood can score 30 goals again, he said: “I believe so. We’re working on that and from what I’ve seen, especially against Bolton, I believe he can conclusively reach the same [amount] or do even better.”
Leeds gear up for their second Championship clash of the season today as Christiansen and co host Preston North End at Elland Road.
The Whites have netted seven goals in their previous two games this season, and another victory would certainly enhance the feel-good vibes surrounding their new campaign.
