Leeds United are due to take on Reading in their next Championship match.

Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Cardiff City and Leeds United at Cardiff City Stadium on September 26, 2017 in Cardiff, Wales.

Leeds United boss Thomas Christiansen has kept his cards close to his chest when asked by BBC Radio Leeds whether Ronaldo Vieira could come back into his first-team.

Vieira has been overlooked by Christiansen during his time at Elland Road to date, with other options preferred to the central midfielder.

Eunan O’Kane and Kalvin Phillips have been Leeds’ first choice pairing in midfield this season, with Mateusz Klich also seemingly ahead of Vieira in the pecking order.

However, Leeds have now lost their last three away games, and calls for the talented youngster to be included are growing louder from supporters.

Vieira was one of Leeds’ star players last term, and looks to have the potential to be a brilliant player in the future.

And when asked whether Vieira comes into his thinking, following Leeds’ 3-0 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday, Christiansen said: “Everyone has the ability to start in the 11. I have 22 players, where I can choose and three goalkeepers. We will see what will happen in the next game.”

Leeds were totally outplayed by Wednesday, and could have been on the end of an even heavier defeat.

The Whites are next in action after the international break, when they take on Reading.
