Leeds United’s next match comes against Middlesbrough after the international break.

Thomas Christiansen has claimed to Radio Yorkshire that he definitely expects to be in charge when Leeds United face Middlesbrough in two weeks’ time.

Christiansen has come under pressure, after Leeds’ disastrous run of form in recent weeks.

The Whites have lost seven of their last eight matches, and have begun to slide down the Championship table.

Leeds were beaten 2-1 by Brentford at Griffin Park yesterday, with their poor form showing no signs of slowing down.

The calls for Christiansen to be dismissed are now growing louder among some sections of Leeds’ support.

However, the Danish boss insists that he fully expects to be in the dug out when Leeds face Middlesbrough after the international break.

“Yes,” Christiansen bluntly responded when asked if he would be in charge for Leeds’ next match.

If Leeds could beat Middlesbrough they would climb right back into the race for the play off places.

However, a defeat could see the Whites fall into the bottom half of the table, and that would be a remarkable slide – considering Leeds’ excellent start to the campaign.
