Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen has told the club’s official Twitter page that he wants his side to win against Newport County away from home in the FA Cup this season.

Playing at home will give County an advantage. Moreover, the Welsh club will have nothing to lose against Leeds.

The Whites’ main objective this season is to finish in the top six of the Championship this season, but it is encouraging that Christiansen is taking the FA Cup seriously.

While it is unlikely that the West Yorkshire outfit are going to win the FA Cup, a good run in the competition will be welcomed by the fans and will boost the players’ morale.
