Leeds United will face Newport County in the third round of the FA Cup this season.

The Championship club will take on League Two outfit County at Rodney Parade in the third round of the FA Cup.
The Whites have already faced the Welsh club this season in the EFL Cup, hammering them 5-1 at Elland Road in the second round of the competition.
Leeds head coach Christiansen has said that his aim is to win against Mike Flynn’s side.

Playing at home will give County an advantage. Moreover, the Welsh club will have nothing to lose against Leeds.
The Whites’ main objective this season is to finish in the top six of the Championship this season, but it is encouraging that Christiansen is taking the FA Cup seriously.
While it is unlikely that the West Yorkshire outfit are going to win the FA Cup, a good run in the competition will be welcomed by the fans and will boost the players’ morale.
