Leeds United played out a 1-1 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach in a pre-season friendly match on Thursday.
Championship club Leeds played out a 1-1 draw with German outfit Monchengladbach in a pre-season friendly match in Austria.
Luke Ayling put the West Yorkshire outfit in the lead after just two minutes, and Patrick Herrmann restored parity for the Bundesliga club in the second half.
Leeds head coach Christiansen has stated that he was pleased with the fact that his side created chances against Monchengladbach.

“We created several good opportunities but didn’t take them,” Christiansen told The Yorkshire Evening Post.
“I’ve said that before and I recognise it but if it’s only that we don’t put (the ball) into the net, that will come.
“If we are creating these chances in the first place then more and more we will start taking them. It is harder to provoke and produce opportunities than it is to score them.”

Leeds’s performance against Monchengladbach was very encouraging, and the players looked quite fit indeed.
The fact that the Whites did not lose against an established team in the German top flight should be encouraging for the fans.
While it is true that the West Yorkshire outfit created chances, Christiansen also needs to make sure that his team take those chances in future matches.
Leeds will be aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship during the 2017-18 campaign.
