Leeds fans believe that the pitch has been made smaller, which would suggest Christiansen wanted to limit the time opposition teams have on the ball.
However, the Danish boss insists that Leeds have not altered the size of the Elland Road playing surface.
“It’s not true,” Christiansen said, when asked if he had changed the size of the pitch since taking charge.
“Perhaps in other pitches, they are, but I cannot say about that.”
Leeds have not made the most auspicious of starts at Elland Road in the Championship, but they are still unbeaten.
Leeds beat Port Vale 4-1 in the League Cup, but the goals have dried up since.
The Whites have failed to score in either of their last two games, against Preston North End and Fulham, which both matches finishing as 0-0 draws.
Leeds have created chances in both contests, but they have lacked the finishing touch required to put the ball into the back of the net.
Leeds are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Simon Grayson’s Sunderland side.
