Leeds head coach Christiansen has explained his decision to take off Alioski, and has admitted that the Macedonia international winger did not play well in the first half.
Christiansen told Leeds Live when asked about his decision to take off Alioski: “Yes, well Ali didn’t have his best day and we needed to have more in attack to go the one against one.
“Especially against Traore on that side we had a lot of space, possibility to attack on that side and I made this decision.”
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Elland Road on Monday afternoon, hosts Leeds had 51% of the possession, took 19 shots of which seven were on target, and earned two corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Forest had 49% of the possession, took seven shots of which one was on target, and earned eight corners, according to BBC Sport.
Leeds are sixth in the Championship table at the moment with 43 points from 26 matches.
