Leeds United defender Vurnon Anita proved his worth through his latest performance.

Anita has struggled for game time at Leeds recently, but he was finally given a chance to feature against Nottingham Forest yesterday.
Anita took his chance to impress, as Leeds looked solid in a 0-0 draw with Forest.

And Christiansen claimed that he was pleased to see Anita prove to him that he could perform a role in Leeds’ line-up.
“That showed me we have recovered another player in the squad,” Christiansen said. “Anita, when he came in, did very well. That was good to see.”
Anita had not featured in Leeds’ last 11 matches, before playing against Forest.
The former Newcastle United man could now be back in contention, as Leeds look to strengthen their bid for promotion.

Leeds’ draw against Forest has seen them slip down to sixth place in the Championship table, with the promotion race hotting up.
Leeds are next in action at the weekend in the FA Cup, when they take on League Two side Newport County, and Anita could be selected to start again in that contest.
