Leeds United are currently on a pre-season tour of Austria, as Thomas Christiansen familiarises himself with his new squad.
Christiansen kept his cards close to his chest, when he first took over at Leeds, and would give no clues over what tactical system he would be utilising.
However, the Dane now admits that 4-2-3-1 will be his first choice formation for the upcoming campaign.

“I need to have several plans for all situations – if we’ve opened the scoring or if we are down,” Christiansen said.
“The main plan right now with the players I have is 4-2-3-1, with the possibility to change if we need to.”
Leeds’ players should be familiar with the shape required to play in a 4-2-3-1 system, as Garry Monk often deployed a similar tactic.
Christiansen is still getting to grips with his Leeds squad, as their pre-season training steps up.
Leeds lost a behinds-closed-doors friendly match 3-0 against Turkish side Bursaspor yesterday.
The Whites are set to take on Borussia Monchengladbach next, as their pre-season tour of Austria continues.
Leeds’ first match of the Championship season comes against Bolton Wanderers at the Marcon Stadium in August.
