Thomas Christiansen has confirmed that Leeds will have to take on Aston Villa on Friday night without Stuart Dallas and Pierre-Michel Lasogga, while a decision has yet to be made on whether Eunan O’Kane will feature at Elland Road, Radio Yorkshire reports.

Leeds will be looking to build of a couple of impressive recent results when they take on Steve Bruce’s side on Friday – but it will be an extremely difficult task with the Villans having won their last three games and sitting fourth in the Championship table.

Christiansen may have hoped to have had a full squad to pick from for a game that promises to be extremely tough with Villa in such fine form right now, but he has confirmed that Dallas and Lasogga – who have both missed all three of Leeds’ games since the end of the most recent international break – will not be back, while O’Kane – who was substituted during the win at Barnsley last time out – could feature if he proves his fitness in the coming hours.

“Stuey and Pierre will be out,” he said, as reported by Radio Yorkshire.

“O’Kane has a possibility.”

Of the three, it could certainly be argued that O’Kane’s absence – if he does indeed join the pair on the sidelines against Villa – will be the biggest blow to Christiansen.

His performance alongside Kalvin Phillips at Oakwell would have evoked memories of their form during the early stages of the campaign when they were integral to guiding Leeds to the top of the table.

On the other hand, Ronaldo Vieira is back available after serving a one-match suspension, so he will be hoping to prove a point if O’Kane does not start after his red card in the game against Wolves that many felt cost Leeds a chance to try and put some pressure on the Championship leaders.
