Leeds United attacker Souleymane Doukara has been linked with moves away from Elland Road in the summer transfer window.
The Whites will take on Newport at Elland Road in the second round of the EFL Cup.
Christiansen has said that the 25-year-old, who can operate as a striker or as a winger, will be available for the game.
The Leeds head coach has also stated that Doukara has been training well so far this season despite not playing.

The former Catania man has struggled for playing time for the West Yorkshire outfit so far this campaign.
The 25-year-old has also been linked with moves away from Elland Road in the summer transfer window.
According to The Lancashire Post (live blog, Thursday, August 2017), Preston North End have been offered the chance to sign Doukara (click here to read more).
Scottish Premiership giants Ranges are second favourites to sign the attacker with odds of 4/1 on Betvictor.com (click here to read more).

Leeds head coach Christiansen has given a rather cryptic message regarding Doukara’s future at the club.
“He’s a player at Leeds United and he will be available,” Christiansen told The Yorkshire Evening Post about Doukara. “Right now he is (part of the squad).
“We will see what will happen in the next few days. He hasn’t played but he’s been training every day in a good rhythm and at a good intensity.”
