Leeds United won 5-1 on Saturday, Mateusz Klich was not involved.
Thomas Christiansen has revealed to LUTV that a muscle injury kept summer signing Mateusz Klich out of Leeds United’s recent friendly.
Leeds kicked off their pre-season campaign in style by thumping Guisley 5-1 on Saturday.

Twenty two of Christiansen’s squad played 45 minutes after the new head coach made 11 changes at the break.
Klich, a midfielder who joined from FC Twente in June, was a notable absentee for Leeds, and the Dane says that he did not want to risk the 27-year-old.
Asked by LUTV whether the Pole was okay, Christiansen responded: “He’s not okay. He would’ve been here with us [if he was okay].
“He has a problem with a muscle and we have to ensure that he recovers well. I don’t want to take any risks with him.”
Stuart Dallas and Lee Erwin both scored two goals in the rout, while Marcus Antonsson also got on the scoresheet.
Leeds will be hoping that Klich recovers by August 6 for United’s Championship opener away to newly-promoted Bolton Wanderers.
