Could Leeds United be busy in the January transfer window?
Although Christiansen has said that at the moment there is no priority to make signings, the Spaniard has suggested that the club are open to the possibility of bringing in new players next month.
“Well if that should be the possibility then we will listen to it, but it’s not a priority we have but Victor is working on that if it’s necessary,” Christiansen told Leeds Live.
“Again, it’s not a must to sign players but of course he is on the market to see what can be interested or not.”
Christiansen has also seems to have suggested that bringing in new players will not be his decision, but the club’s.
“If the club decides to bring a player, two or whatever, it’s an option, but it’s nothing that I want to speak about, to think about,” added the Leeds head coach.
“I have my job to do and if they come and tell me something, I will of course listen to it and give my opinion. But until now I am very happy with what I have.”
Christiansen does not make signings at Leeds, the club’s director of football Victor Orta does.
Although the Leeds head coach does give his opinion on players, it seems that he does not have the final say.
It will be interesting to see how Orta views the current Leeds squad and what players he will bring in January, if indeed he does.
Leeds have a good squad with some brilliant players, but their main problem has been inconsistency.
The West Yorkshire outfit also need to sort out the goalkeeping situations as there have been mistakes between the posts.
