The 19-year-old Leeds United striker was booed at Elland Road.

Speaking to Radio Yorkshire, Thomas Christiansen has condemned the Leeds United fans who jeered Jay-Roy Grot in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Norwich City at Elland Road.
Pontus Jansson’s first-half goal was enough to settle a nervy encounter which saw Leeds move within a point of the top six.
The 19-year-old striker was subbed on for Samu Saiz on 81 minutes but did very little to justify his inclusion and fans began to get on his back quite quickly.

The Dutch forward is yet to score in 13 Championship games – all from the bench – and Christiansen said it was a “problem” that the Leeds fans treated him with such contempt.
He told Radio Yorkshire: “I think we have a problem if we criticise one of our players. We speak about staying together so then we [have to] stay together, with the best or the worst or whatever. Always together.”

At 19, there is every chance that Grot will develop into a fine striker for Leeds but he needs time in which to do so. Every time he struggles could knock his confidence, but it could also build his character to the point where he’s ready to be that player for the Whites.
Pierre-Michel Lasogga returned to training this week and his return to the first team should push Grot down the pecking order again.
