Jay-Roy Grot joined Leeds United from NEC in the summer transfer window.

Grot, who joined Leeds from NEC in the summer transfer window, has struggled to make an impact at Elland Road so far this season.
The 19-year-old, who can operate as a striker or as a winger, has yet to make a start in the Championship and has made nine appearances as a substitute.

In a total of 125 minutes of league football so far this term, the teenage attacker has failed to score and has provided one assist.
Leeds head coach Christiansen has defended Grot and has pointed out that he is only 19 years of age, while also stating that the youngster is improving.
“It’s a new league for him, he’s very big and very tall but he’s still 19,” Christiansen told The Yorkshire Evening Post about Grot.
“He has a lot to learn and a lot to live. He will need his time but he is improving and he will do a good job.”

Grot is a very, very young footballer, and having joined Leeds only in the summer transfer window, it is only natural that he takes a while to settle in.
It would be harsh to criticise the youngster now, as it is clear that he is talented and has a lot of potential.
