Manchester United’s highly talented young left-back Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has endured a frustrating time, away from Old Trafford this season.
The 20-year-old joined Leeds United on a season long loan in the summer, but has struggled to get regular games at Elland Road.
He has managed only one league game, and appeared in four Cup games for the Whites.
According to recent reports in the Express, United are considering the option of bringing him back to Old Trafford by terminating his loan deal.
It has been reported that both the clubs have held talks, and the agreement is close to being reached to cancel his loan deal.
After Leeds United’s game against Nottingham Forest on Monday, Thomas Christiansen was asked to comment on whether Borthwick-Jackson will stay at the club for the rest of the season.
“What I know is that he will play the next game,” said Christiansen, as quoted by Leeds Live.
Christiansen has showered praise on Anita’s performance against Forest, and believes that he can do a good job at left-back.
With Borthwick-Jackson struggling for games at the Yorkshire club, it is best for him to return to his parent club.
Leeds are currently sixth in the Championship, one point behind fifth placed Aston Villa.
