Leeds United lost against Brentford in the Championship this evening.

Lonergan seemed to have established himself in the Leeds first team following a series of mistakes from Felix Wiedwald which saw the German lose his place.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper, who joined the Whites in the summer transfer window, made a mistake during the Championship game against Brentford at Griffin Park on Saturday evening.

The 34-year-old failed to collect a cross from Yoann Barbet midway through the first half, and Neal Maupay tucked in from close range.
It was the first of the three goals that Brentford scored to pick up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 3-1 win.

Leeds head coach Christiansen has suggested that he will assess Lonergan’s position in the team following his mistake against the Bees, perhaps hinting that the former Preston North End goalkeeper could go back to being the second-choice custodian behind Wiedwald.
When asked if Lonergan’s position would come into question, Christiansen told The Express: “This is something that we’ll speak about, but right now is not the moment to comment on these things.”
