Tottenham Hotspur fans are delighted that they appear to be close to getting a deal for a striker over the line.
Football London have reported how Tottenham are now close to signing Carlos Vinicius on loan from Benfica, with a view to making the deal a permanent one next summer.
Vinicius is a relative unknown quantity in English football, but he has scored prolifically in Portugal.
And Tottenham fans are delighted that they appear to finally be about to end their search for a striker.
Tottenham have seemingly been hunting a new number nine ever since Fernando Llorente left them well over a year ago now.
Harry Kane has simply been relied on too much, but Jose Mourinho’s side will now be able to rest their star player, safe in the knowledge that they have a strong alternative option.
Vinicius hit 24 goals last season, and if he can repeat those sorts of figures at Tottenham he will be a major hit in North London.
