Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been reacting after CalcioMercato reported that they could broker a swap deal for Franck Kessie that could see Tanguy Ndombele head the other way.
Kessie is a player Spurs have been linked with for some time now, and it seems as though they could bring him to the club in January.
The London outfit are reportedly ready to swap Ndombele for Kessie, and it’s fair to say the fanbase aren’t quite on board with that move.
To be honest, we can understand the hesitancy. Kessie is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning they would be able to get him to sign a pre-contract agreement in January, but instead, they’re going to offer a player who they once valued at over £50m.
Yes, things haven’t quite worked out for Ndombele at Tottenham, but it’s hard to make a case that swapping him for a player who Spurs could sign for free this time next year is good value.
