Paul Ince was critical of Tottenham trio Eric Dier, Sergio Reguilon and Joe Rodon for the part they played in Fred scoring for Manchester United on Sunday.
The former midfielder stated that the Tottenham trio ‘stopped running’ for Fred’s goal because they were too busy calling for offside, as he told Optus Sport on Premier League Productions.
It was Edinson Cavani’s ball across the penalty area which allowed the defensive-minded midfielder, who was unmarked, to score a rare goal.
And being a combative-natured player during his hay day, Ince shared that he was wound up about Tottenham’s defending yesterday.
“This winds me up,” said Ince. “They (Dier, Rondon and Reguilon) all put their hands up for offside. They stop running and Fred keeps moving. And he gets a goal.
“It’s okay saying offside. You still have to keep running as you are saying offside – three Tottenham players there have stopped still and Fred goes and gets his goal.”

There is always going to be drama surrounding Jose Mourinho wherever he is at and this Tottenham job is no different.
There seems to be a lot riding on that League Cup final in a few weeks time because as the weeks tick by, it doesn’t seem as though Mourinho can deliver Champions League football.
It will be interesting what the reaction will be like if Mourinho wins a trophy but doesn’t secure Champions League football for the club.
