Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has raved about Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah ahead of the Premier League game between the two sides at Anfield this weekend, as quoted in The Manchester Evening News.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will lock horns with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at Anfield in the league on Sunday.

Salah is likely to start for Liverpool.

The Egypt international forward came off the bench to score a hat-trick for the Reds against Scottish Premiership club Rangers at Ibrox in the UEFA Champions League this week.

Guardiola said: “This type of players always score goals in their career. Even not at their best the quality is there.

“They are so good, they scored seven goals last game. We played many times against Liverpool, Salah scores always we know that.”

Big threat

In our view, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah will be a big threat against Manchester City this weekend.

Yes, Salah is not having the best of times in the Premier League, but the way he competed a stunning hat-trick after coming on as a substitute against Rangers shows how good he can be.

Confidence is a big thing for players, and scoring even against Rangers will have enhance Salah’s self-conviction.

Now, of course, Liverpool are not going to be able to batter Manchester City like they hammered Rangers, but the Merseyside club could still pick up all three points from the encounter.
