Stars from Southampton, Sunderland and Liverpool all feature.

With the second international break now upon us, it seems a perfect time to assess the Premier League stats so far.
We have already looked at the best and worst teams in regard to the defensive, offensive and passing stats with some surprising results coming to light.

With that in mind, it seems a good time to take a look which players are the lowest-rated in each position.
So starting with the goalkeepers, we took a look at who have posted lowest numbers in the seven Premier League games so far.

To make it fair, we only looked at players who have made four or more appearances. Here is what we discovered.
Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster has made the fewest saves so far with a tally of eight, just 1.14 per game. Just behind him is Middlesbrough’s Victor Valdes who has made nine.
Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois, Liverpool’s Simon Mignolet and Everton’s Maarten Stekelenburg are all joint-third with scores of 10.
| Team | Saves | Appearances | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fraser Forster | Southampton | 8 | 7 |
| Víctor Valdés | Middlesbrough | 9 | 5 |
| Thibaut Courtois | Chelsea | 10 | 7 |
| Simon Mignolet | Liverpool | 10 | 5 |
| Maarten Stekelenburg | Everton | 10 | 7 |
It is the Boro man who has made the fewest saves from shots inside the box with just two, while Mignolet and Stekelenburg have made the fewest saves from shots outside the box with two.
Forster and West Bromwich Albion’s Ben Foster are the lowest in terms of punches, with neither having managed one yet.
| Team | Good High Claim | Appearances | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Víctor Valdés | Middlesbrough | 1 | 5 |
| Eldin Jakupovic | Hull | 2 | 5 |
| Hugo Lloris | Tottenham | 2 | 5 |
Valdes is again in the top spot when it comes to high claims, having posted just one so far. Hull City’s Eldin Jakupovic and Tottenham Hotspur’s Hugo Lloris are second-bottom with scores of two.
Finally, in the age of the ball-playing goalkeeper, it is Sunderland’s Jordon Pickford who comes out bottom of the passing accuracy stats with a score of just 35% to his name.
