Some Arsenal fans are reacting to Matt Turner’s actions on Friday morning.

Turner represented the USA in a victory over El Salvador.

After the game, the 27-year-old goalkeeper was spotted signing an Arsenal shirt.

This came on the same day as ESPN reported that the Gunners were set to sign the New England Revolution goalkeeper this summer.

And here’s how supporters of the North Londoners reacted to seeing him sign the shirt:

Foregone conclusion

At this point it would be a massive shock if Turner doesn’t wind up joining Arsenal.

However, the £7.4 million-rated stopper also said, in the same interaction, revealed to the fan who owned the jersey that he didn’t know what his number would be at the Emirates Stadium.

This indeed illustrates that a transfer to the Premier League outfit is indeed a foregone conclusion at this point.

Okay so it isn’t Dusan Vlahovic or Alexander Isak or Arthur Melo, and it isn’t a January signing, but Arsenal are still moving intelligently.

That’s because Bernd Leno is certain to leave the Gunners this summer and rather than waste a chunk of the transfer window trying to replace him, Mikel Arteta and Edu have one less thing to worry about based on Turner’s arrival.
