Adam Lallana has described Liverpool as a ‘class act’ on Instagram after defeating his former club on Wednesday night.
Brighton & Hove Albion pulled off one of the biggest shocks of the Premier League season by beating the reigning champions 1-0 at Anfield last night.
Lallana was released by Liverpool last summer and earned a 25-minute cameo against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
He left Anfield after six years on Merseyside and helped them to a first-ever Premier League title last term.
It was a romantic occasion for the 32-year-old and here’s the classy message that he posted on social media this afternoon following the win:
As for Liverpool, well the champs are now seven points behind leaders Manchester City, who also have a game in hand.
Their title defence is hanging by a thread and anything but a victory over Pep Guardiola’s side on Sunday evening will more than likely mean that the trophy won’t be returning to Anfield this season.
