
Elijah Dixon-Bonner had an evening to remember as the Liverpool youngster bagged a brace in the Reds’ U-23 clash against Blackburn Rovers.
The 20-year-old midfielder was key to the Merseyside club securing a point as the former Arsenal academy star scored two fine goals for Liverpool. The London-born prospect has been involved with first-team training this season.
The youngster has been a regular for the club at U-23 level this season. Yet Dixon-Bonner is yet to play for the senior squad this campaign, with Liverpool set to take on Championship side Preston North End tomorrow in the League Cup.
Indeed, that fixture could see Dixon-Bonner make his first senior appearance of the season if the youngster travels to Deepdale with Klopp and company.
After all, the midfielder was the Man of the Match last night for Liverpool in their 2-2 draw against Blackburn. Dixon-Bonner scored his first goals of the campaign.
