Liverpool is littered with brilliant teenage players, it has to be said.
The most obvious of which is clearly Harvey Elliott after his dazzling performances in Jurgen Klopp’s senior side this season, prior to his injury.
But as midweek showed, Liverpool also have a gem in the form of Kaide Gordon, who made his competitive debut in the EFL Cup win over Norwich City.
In the Under-23s there are a number of exciting starlets too, like Mateusz Musialowski – nicknamed the Polish Messi.
However, there’s also another promising teen at the club – and this time, a defender.
Like Gordon, Jurgen Klopp handed another debut to a young player in midweek by starting Conor Bradley at Carrow Road.
The 18-year-old is already a full Northern Ireland international and his performance in defence illustrated his potential.
And his coach at youth level with St Patrick’s back in his homeland, Rory Lynch, has joked that it’s a surprise Klopp hasn’t shipped off Trent Alexander-Arnold yet on the back of Bradley’s emergence, claiming there’s much more to come.
He told Irish News: “The only surprise is they’ve not sold Alexander-Arnold yet!
“Conor wants to be the best about, he’s always wanting to get better. I mind so many times driving past Mitchell Park, stopping down and there was Conor, cones set up, him and Steafan Deery just down doing drills by themselves. The cub was always trying to improve. You haven’t seen anywhere near Conor’s full potential yet. This kid, I’m telling you, he’s something else.”
