Some Newcastle United fans are absolutely loving speculation about potentially signing a Tottenham Hotspur target.
According to CalcioMercato, as reported by HITC Sport, Newcastle have joined Spurs in the race to sign the Paris Saint-Germain marksman.
The Magpies were bought out by Saudi Public Investment Fund a little earlier this week.
And with a fortune of £320 billion, no doubt that the St James’s Park club will get linked to a lot of very high-profile players over the coming months.
The Daily Mail reported on Friday that a number of Premier League clubs are unhappy with Newcastle’s new ownership and that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was something of the ring leader.

Being linked to Icardi is only the beginning for Newcastle.
There’ll be a lot more names linked with moves to St James’s Park in the near future but honestly, the supporters deserve it.
They’re some of the best and loyal fans in English football – if not the best – and with everything they had to tolerate during 14 years of Mike Ashley, they could and should be lapping up this sort of speculation.
Best part is, it’s all real. Icardi is now a genuine target and it’ll be fascinating to see whether Newcastle – or Tottenham – wind up getting him.
