Some Aston Villa fans on social media are over the moon with the club’s reported plan to sign Emi Buendia to complement Jack Grealish rather than to replace him.
Buendia was linked with a move to Villa Park last week, and as you can imagine, that sparked debate around whether or not Grealish would be leaving the Midlands club this summer.
The Athletic believe that Buendia’s arrival is not linked to any potential move away for Grealish, claiming that Villa’s plan is to form a partnership between the pair.
As you can imagine, this sent the Villa fanbase into a bit of a frenzy, and we can understand why.
Buendia and Grealish are two of the most exciting creative players in England at the moment, and the idea of the pair linking up to play behind Ollie Watkins is certainly exciting.
Whether or not a move for Buendia comes to fruition remains to be seen, but if Villa do sign the Argentine their attack will certainly be one to watch next season.
