Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust revealed that the Board has declined to speak to them.
What’s the story?
Well, the THST wanted to sit down with the Spurs Board and discuss the club’s medium to long-term strategy.
After a messy hunt to find José Mourinho’s replacement, which followed the horrid decision to join the Super League, Tottenham fans want answers.
Sadly, it seems they aren’t going to get any, as Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis have decided to decline the invitation of a meeting.
It’s not much to ask.
Some fans commenting on THST’s tweet actually criticised the fan group, saying there’s no need to have a debrief after a few defeats.
It’s concerning that they think it’s about results. Of course, those matter, but the issues at Spurs are deep-rooted, and have gone on for years.
Another own goal for Daniel Levy at Tottenham
Politically, Tottenham are making such a mess of things right now.
Even if Levy and Lewis couldn’t care less, they can at least pretend they’re interested and hold a meeting with the THST.
The fact they’ve declined to talk suggests they aren’t even bothered about keeping up appearances anymore.
There is a total disregard for supporters, who are desperate to know what is happening to their beloved club.
If meetings aren’t something Levy wants, then he has other options.
For example, if the 59-year-old sat down and gave an update on things every three or four months, supporters would probably ease off a bit.
Unfortunately, Levy just keeps shooting himself in the foot, along with Lewis.
