Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after Martin Ødegaard handed his shirt to a young Arsenal fan after Norway’s 5-1 win last night.
What’s the story?
Well, the 22-year-old enjoyed himself last night, captaining his country to a comprehensive World Cup qualifying win over Gibraltar.
A hat-trick from Erling Braut Håland stole the show, although some Arsenal fans noticed an act of generosity from Ødegaard after the full-time whistle.
The £30m man could be seen making a young Arsenal fan’s night – or even their entire year – after handing him his match worn Norway shirt.
Sadly, we don’t have footage to share, although we can assure you that the supporter was – unsurprisingly – ecstatic with the gift from Ødegaard.
Whether Ødegaard deliberately searched for a fan in an Arsenal kit to hand his shirt to is a mystery.
However, he has done it twice now, so perhaps he is doing it on purpose.
How did Arsenal maestro Martin Ødegaard play?

Unbelievably, the 32-cap Norway international completed an incredible 12 key passes, and had 144 touches of the ball last night.
Somehow, that wasn’t enough to earn him a single assist, despite the goal-fest against Gibraltar.
Nevertheless, if he keeps this type of performance up, he will put his name up in lights this season – it was a tremendous display.

Ødegaard also recorded an 86% pass success rate. Wearing the armband for his country seems to take his level of responsibility on the ball up a gear.
Perhaps one day, Mikel Arteta will hand him the captaincy at the Emirates Stadium – he’s clearly a leader, despite his youthfulness.
For now, let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about Ødegaard giving his shirt to a young fan…
