Jose Enrique has urged Liverpool on his Instagram story to sign midfielder Youri Tielemans from Leicester City, despite a rumoured agreement with Arsenal.

The Belgium international, who is preparing for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, is out-of-contract at The King Power Stadium next summer.

At 25, at the peak of his powers, with plenty of years left in his locker, and vast amounts of experience on the Premier League and international stage, he will be a top, top signing for whichever club he ends up at next.

Could that move come as soon as January in order to beat the traffic that will gather in the summer for the player’s talents?

Well, former Liverpool left-back Enrique certainly wants that to happen as he wrote on his IG story: ‘This is the player we should sign in January’ added with a video compilation of his performances in Leicester colours.

RUMOURED ARSENAL AGREEMENT FOR TIELEMANS

Not many would have expected it, but it’s Arsenal leading the charge in the Premier League this season and deservedly sitting at the top of the table.

There is talk that Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign Tielemans – what’s even crazier is that they could the ones in the driving seat to sign the player in the summer if he doesn’t move in the winter.

That’s if those in north London are the champions and Liverpool aren’t in the Champions League, or even Arsenal securing a top-four finish and those on Merseyside missing out.
