Some Liverpool fans are reacting on Twitter to Mateusz Musialowski winning the club’s Goal of the Month award, with one supporter likening him to Luis Suarez.
Liverpool revealed via their official website this morning that Musialowski’s solo stunner in a youth win over Newcastle United in March was the club’s best goal of that month.
The 17-year-old, who has been dubbed the Polish Lionel Messi, breezed past a number of Under-18 Newcastle stars en route to curling into the far corner.
In doing so, the teenager wizard has beaten Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota – who scored against Leipzig and Wolves respectively – to the individual award.
Here’s how some Liverpool fans reacted to the announcement on Twitter earlier today:
Even Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is well aware of the youngster, having promoted him to senior training on a number of occasions.
And it’ll be fascinating to see what Musialowski does over the coming years.
He is only some six months younger than Harvey Elliott, who has been ripping up the Championship on loan from Liverpool this season so it’ll be interesting to see if a loan to the second tier also awaits Musialowski next season.
