Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting after it was announced by the club that Curtis Jones will remain out of action for some time with an eye injury.
Eye injuries are something of a rarity in football. You hardly ever hear of a player being out with such a problem, and when you do, it’s rarely a long-term problem.
However, in Jones’ case, he’s been out for a while already and it seems as though he may not be back anytime soon.
As you can imagine, Reds supporters were rather baffled by this update, and to be honest, so are we.
Of course, we have to hope that Jones is better soon and his eye problem isn’t too serious, but it has to be said that this is one of the more bizarre injury stories we’ve heard.
