Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter are admittedly gutted after seeing a photo of Christian Eriksen last night.
Eriksen quit Spurs last January to join Inter Milan, six months after publicly stating that he wanted to leave North London.
Tottenham didn’t stand in his way and picked up £18 million for him which, considering he was out of contract that summer, was a cracking piece of business.
And it’s an even better deal now because, well, the Denmark international is struggling.
So far this season, the 28-year-old has only managed five starts in all competitions – not ideal when you arrived looking for first-team football.
And Eriksen looked to have sunk to a new low on Saturday night.
Inter boss Antonio Conte subbed him into last night’s 3-1 win over Bologna with just three minutes remaining and a photo of the former Tottenham playmaker on the touchline just summed everything up.
Quite a lot of Lilywhites fans will be happy to hear Eriksen is enduring a rough time in Italy, but he was a brilliant player during his six-and-a-half year spell in North London and many more supporters are genuinely sad to see his plight.
Here’s how they’re reacting to the photo on Twitter:
