Souleymane Doukara was released by Leeds this summer.
After a controversial three years at Leeds United, Souleymane Doukara was released by the club this summer to find a new club.
Doukara worked under seven different managers at Leeds, some more successfully than others, before current boss Thomas Christiansen decided it was time up.
Doukara’s contract was terminated in August in order for him to find a new club, and he did so promptly, moving to Turkey.
He signed with Super Lig side Osmanlispor, and became an instant hit.
Doukara scored on his debut, in a 2-2 draw against Kayserispor.
Since then it has been a lot tougher for the 25-year-old.
He has failed to score in his four subsequent matches, with Osmanlispor losing all four of them.
Doukara has more bookings (2) than goals (1), and he was dropped for their most recent game against Kasimpasa – a game they won 3-0.
The forward subsequently faces a battle to get back into a side which won their first game of the season without him in it.
Doukara packed a lot into his time at Leeds, with a high point being a wondergoal against Nottingham Forest and a low point being the ban picked up for an alleged bite.
His time at Osmanlispor so far shows he is still searching for the consistency he lacked at Elland Road.
