The midfielder left Leeds United in January and is currently plying his trade in Norway.

Chris Dawson was once touted as the next big thing at Leeds United – a skilful midfielder tipped to become the poster child of their golden generation.
However, while Sam Byram, Alex Mowatt, Charlie Taylor and Lewis Cook all made the breakthrough, Dawson was overlooked time and again, making just four first-team appearances for Leeds before ultimately leaving on a free transfer in January.
He was quickly signed up by Championship rivals Rotherham United, who were then managed by Neil Redfearn.

The former Leeds boss knew Dawson extremely well and had previously spoken in glowing terms of the Welshman’s talent, so reuniting the two seemed like the perfect chance for the midfielder to finally prove his worth.
Redfearn’s dismissal soon after ended that hope and rather than finally making his mark in the Championship, Dawson is yet to feature for Rotherham.
Instead he is currently on loan at Viking in Norway; a particularly surprising move in the career of a player who has not had it easy despite his innate talent.

That is not to say it is the death knell for his time in English football. In fact, the former Leeds youngster is doing well in Norway, featuring five times to date and providing assists in key victories against Molde and Start.
Dawson is now starting to play his way into a regular starting place and he could yet return to Rotherham ready to fulfil his potential.
He has until January to continue his development abroad and from there he could yet come face to face with his former Leeds teammates in the coming campaigns.
