The former Leeds United player is struggling to make an impact back in his homeland.

When Leeds United signed Brazilian Adryan on loan in the summer of 2014 he was quickly hailed as the next big thing.
But as with so many before him he failed to live up to the hype, and after a promising start where he showed glimpses of his undoubted ability, he fell out of favour and ended the campaign with just 13 appearances and two assists.
After that kind of return he was never going to remain at Leeds and the Flamengo youngster instead headed out on loan to French club Nantes.

There he started to show what all the fuss was about, scoring seven goals and setting up two more in 33 games, forcing his way into the starting line-up after a spell out of the team during the winter.
After that return it was widely expected that Nantes would make Adryan’s move permanent, but instead he headed back to his homeland, where he is now looking to kick start a career that appears to stall whenever it gets going.
Leeds fans may be interested to know that things have not gone as well back at Flamengo, where he turned out 40 times prior to his spell at Elland Road.

This time round he managed just 28 minutes against Figueirense in the Copa Sudamericana and has not been in the following three match-day squads.
With his contract in Brazil expiring next summer Adryan will need a big campaign to convince Flamengo he deserves a prolonged stay; because the alternative is a potential free transfer for a player tipped for greatness even before when he first arrived at Leeds.
