Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react after Ashley Preece provided an update on Carney Chukwuemeka and Jaden Philogene-Bidace.
Speaking on Claret & Blue – an Aston Villa podcast – the Villans correspondent for Birmingham Live said that the pair are set to be “heavily involved” next season.
Now, this should be music to the Villa Park faithful’s ears.
Chukwuemeka put his name on the lips of supporters by appearing in Aston Villa’s last two Premier League games of the season.
The 17-year-old stepped off the bench to make his Premier League debut in the 2-1 win over Tottenham, and nearly marked the occasion with a goal – sadly, his effort hit the post.
Then, the teenager made his Villa Park debut in the 2-1 win over Chelsea.

In Philogene-Bidace’s case, he also managed to make his Premier League debut in the win over Tottenham, and didn’t look out of place at all.
The 19-year-old shone at Premier League 2 level this season, scoring five goals while also providing three assists.

To have both involved in the first-team next season should save the club a lot of money, as their talent is there for all to see.
Let’s take a look at how the Aston Villa fans on Twitter reacted to Preece’s information…
