Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter after they missed out on signing Joachim Andersen.
The 25-year-old has joined Crystal Palace on a five-year contract from Lyon for £17 million, with Tottenham seemingly admirers of the centre-back, according to the Daily Mail.
Spurs themselves are desperate for more defensive cover after losing their long-serving player, Toby Alderweireld, who will be plying his trade in Qatar next season.
There could be the possibility that those in North London start their Premier League opener against Manchester City with Davinson Sanchez and Eric Dier at the back.
Added with that, players such as Jules Kounde of Sevilla and Cristiano Romero of Atalanta have also been wanted by the North London club.
But it seems as though other teams are either pushing ahead of them for those deals or they are struggling to meet the transfer demands of the club.
Either way, with Andersen on Palace’s books for less than £20 million, it’s not sitting down well with the Tottenham faithful.
They are questioning who they will get through the doors this summer because the centre-back area is the weakest point of their team.
Fabio Paratici is the man running the North London ship and all of this is a test to see what he is made of and whether he can get the club back on track.
