Celtic suffered another injury in today’s Scottish Premiership clash against Dundee United as Josip Juranovic was forced off in the opening half.

The Croatian defender was substituted in the 25th minute after receiving a blow to the leg. Moreover, Juranovic becomes the latest Hoops player to join the injury table. Club captain Callum McGregor and Kyogo Furuhashi already out.

Giorgos Giakoumakis is also out after suffering a calf injury in the warm-up to the clash with Raith Rovers earlier in the week.

The injury to Juranovic will come as a huge blow for Celtic. The Scottish giants have a huge fixture later in the week when they face off against Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Europa League.

The 25-year-old defender was already covering for left-back this afternoon. And Juranovic missing out on Thursday night could leave Ange Postecoglou’s side short at the back.

Indeed, another issue to player personnel is the last thing the Celtic boss needs after a mixed start to the season.

And on social media, fans were fuming that Juranovic even featured in an SPL game with Leverkusen coming up in a few days.

Here’s what some supporters had to say about Juranovic going off injured for Celtic on Twitter…
