It was relatively easy for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the end, and fans will surely be happy and optimistic about making a late push for the Champions League places.
However, some Liverpool fans could not believe what they heard when the lineups were announced, as shown below on Twitter.
Ozan Kabak, James Milner, Naby Keita and Ben Davies all missed the game with knocks.
Davies, signed from Preston North End in the January transfer window, has yet to make an appearance for Liverpool and has had injury problems.
The omission of Davies did not come as a surprise, but injuries to Kabak, Milner and Keita did make some Liverpool fans wonder what is going wrong in training.
Liverpool’s game against Manchester United last weekend was postponed due to fan protests at Old Trafford.
The lineups were still announced, as covered by HITC Sport. Liverpool manager Klopp named Milner and Kabak in the team, while Keita was on the substitutes’ bench.
This means that Milner, Kabak and Keita all got injured during training sessions.
Liverpool have had a torrid time with injury problems, with Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Jordan Henderson all on the sidelines.
