Tottenham fans have provided a mixed reaction to Jurgen Klopp’s comments about their side’s style of play ahead of today’s showdown at Anfield.

The Liverpool boss stated that Spurs play ‘real football’ but also proceeded to compare Harry Kane to Roberto Firmino, as he told his pre-match press conference.

“Spurs play real football,” said Klopp. “Kane drops (deep) in a way Roberto Firmino has done.

“Quick wingers are difficult [to defend]. A very offensive midfielder in Ndombele is then very strong midfielders behind. That is football. You cannot be top with just counter-attacks.”

Whilst a selection of Spurs fans appreciated Klopp praising their style of play, they didn’t like the German liking his number nine to their star man upfront.

It could be argued that Kane has been the best player in the Premier League this season, with the Englishman racking up the goals and the assists.

Alongside his partner in crime in Heung-Min Son, the duo will be the biggest threat to Liverpool tonight, who face their toughest test of the campaign.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if there aren’t many goals in the game because of how the match will more than likely pan out to be a tactical battle.

Nonetheless, here is a selection of Spurs fans reacting to Klopp’s comments:
