Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after watching footage of Mohamed Salah speaking to the media after the 3-0 win over Leeds.
What’s the story?
Well, when quizzed on his 100th Premier League goal, Salah said something very interesting.
As the footage shows, the 29-year-old says: “I want to score many goals for the club, before I go.”
Now, context is needed here.
Salah is leaving Merseyside to take part in the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt in January, so he could be talking about that.
After all, that’s what we think is happening, or else he wouldn’t have laughed after saying “before I go”.
Nevertheless, some Liverpool fans don’t think that’s the case, and have expressed panic after watching the 6-second clip.
Liverpool must hand Mohamed Salah a new contract

As things stand, Salah’s contract will end in June 2023.
That leaves Liverpool in a dangerous situation next summer, as their No.11 will only have one year remaining, and a decision might need to be made.
If Salah decides not to extend his deal, the Reds will have to cash in, or risk losing their talisman for nothing.
In our view, Liverpool need to do absolutely everything to keep the Egyptian at Anfield.

Salah is among the top five players in Europe, and deserves a contract befitting of that status.
Even if that means shattering the club’s wage structure for him, then so be it – he deserves it.
The ex-Chelsea forward just keeps delivering season after season, and such unerring consistency has to be rewarded.
Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about the 6-second footage of Salah saying “before I go”…
