Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after Kalvin Phillips sent a heartwarming message to a supporter yesterday.
The England international was sent a tweet from a fan, showing their premature newborn who was born a day after the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Phillips then sent a lovely, reassuring message, in which he tells the fan that he and his two sisters were also eight weeks premature.
The Leeds academy graduate then offers to send the supporter a shirt for their child, when they’re big enough.
It was a truly lovely message from the 25-year-old, who is one of the few footballers who actually engage with supporters in this manner.

Understandably, a lot of Leeds fans on Twitter absolutely loved the defensive midfielder’s tweet.
Having just suffered another injury against the Eagles, you could’ve forgiven the Leeds-born midfielder if he wanted to shut himself away for a bit.
However, he showed his true, genuine character in reaching out to give a gift to a supporter, who was presumably worried about his premature baby.

Phillips is, quite simply, a truly kind person – Leeds are lucky to have him.
Let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter have been saying about his tweet…
