Some Tottenham fans on social media have been reacting to Fabrizio Romano’s claim about Giovani Lo Celso’s future at the club.
The journalist stated on his podcast that, despite reports from numerous outlets, Juventus are not in talks with the Argentine and that he’s fully focused on playing for Tottenham and he’s happy at the club.
“For Giovani Lo Celso there is total focus on Tottenham obviously he wants to be an important player, he’s fighting for his place and it’s normal it’s a part of football, but there is nothing, he is happy at Tottenham and the situation is under control and Juventus is not working for it,” Romano said.
As you can imagine, Spurs fans were pleased to hear this.
Lo Celso is quite clearly a very talented player, so it’s fantastic to see that he wants to stay at Spurs, and fans were clearly happy to hear this.
This comes just a week after Romano claimed that clubs in La Liga were looking at Lo Celso, but it seems as though there’s not much danger of him departing the club this summer.
Tottenham fans online were understandably pleased to hear this news, and we can understand why.
Lo Celso has shown glimpses of brilliance at Spurs, but a chequered injury record has meant that we’re still yet to see the best of him, but the fact that he’s seemingly staying at the club means that he’ll get the chance to show what he’s all about once he’s back fully fit.
