Newcastle United fans are hoping that Isaac Hayden hasn’t posted a ‘goodbye’ video on Twitter, after his latest post.

Hayden posted an emotional review of Newcastle’s season, explaining just how much the club means to him.

With the midfielder’s contract expiring at the end of next season, there are some doubts over his future.

And Hayden’s decision to post such an evocative video has led to concerns among some Newcastle supporters that it may be a farewell message.

Hayden actually looked set to leave Newcastle last summer, but Steve Bruce’s arrival persuaded him to stay.

The 25-year-old has gone on to have an excellent season on Tyneside, where he has been one of the Magpies most reliable players.

If Hayden was to depart Newcastle now it would be a major blow to Bruce’s side.

Replacing his tenacity and combativeness would be a difficult task, especially as Newcastle are only expected to have a limited budget if their takeover does not go through.
